Set on stunning paradise island, Aitutaki - the BSP Aitutaki Marathon ‘Pursuit in Paradise’ event offers three race courses that criss-crosses the tiny island with each step revealing the natural beauty of Aitutaki.
Runners/walkers can choose from the 10km course, half marathon 21.1Km course and the full 42.2km marathon course. 2021 BSP Aitutaki Marathon Pursuit in Paradise will be run from
Wednesday 24th March to Saturday 27th March 2021.
2021 will mark the third running of the fledgling event hosted by Turama Pacific Travel Group's event management department Destination Management Cook Islands (DMCK).
The paradise island event is now growing a reputation on the international marathon scene as a must do event for runners and supporters looking for a unique paradise experience!

What better way to prepare for your weekend marathon than a midweek day out on the stunning Aitutaki lagoon!
This is a great opportunity for you to scope out the island course from the water and really enjoy the island paradise
a few days before the big race.
The lagoon will also be your oasis of recovery after the race! For many years our people have sat and soaked
in the waters of Aitutaki Lagoon as a way of easing the aches and pains in our muscles and joints

runway 5km fun run
This run will start at 5pm (after the planes have left) heading south to the end of the runway and back.
Afterwards those inclined are invited back to Aitutaki Golf Club for a couple of cold ones and a plate of local

race briefing & pasta night
Commencing at 5:30pm there will be a full race briefing and the opportunity for final changes to
registrations. Directly after the briefing approximately 6pm the pasta dinner will be served for all
who have pre-purchased
saturDAY 27 MARCH 2021
race day/prize giving
All 3 distances will start at 6.30am from Ootu Point. For those who purchased the full
race package buses will be available to pick up participants in the morning to get you
to the start line by 6am. Buses will run from 5.30am. Pickup location/times and your
race numbers will be in your race packs and given to you before departing Rarotonga
or collect at the Race Briefing night. At the finishing of the race, there will be
complementary coconut juice, water, light snacks and tropical fruit for all
runners and supporters. The Official Prize Giving will commence at 6pm
followed by Dinner and Entertainment.
